The Nashville office of VMG Health is currently seeking both a Business Valuation Analyst or Senior Analyst and a Business Valuation Manager to join our Valuation & Transaction Advisory team. Qualified candidates will view themselves as having superior leadership and technical skills, excellent project management and communication skills, as well as a sense of urgency and drive to help the company service its clients. Details about the Business Valuation Analyst position are below. Business Valuation Senior Analysts and Managers are expected to excel at the essential duties listed below. In addition, they will be expected to train and supervise Analysts, Senior Analysts (Managers), and entry-level employees.


Business Valuation Analysts support all members of their team on a variety of healthcare engagements, a majority of which are associated with mergers and acquisitions in the healthcare industry. Primary responsibilities include data collection, client financial analysis, financial modeling, assisting clients with general transaction advisory and consulting services, due diligence, report writing, and supporting senior level staff.

  • Data Collection – request and organize all relevant data necessary for a specified client engagement
  • Due Diligence – investigate and present in a clear manner the nuances of entity’s historical operations
  • Client Financial Analysis – develop meaningful insights based on historical financial statements and discussions with management
  • Valuation Modeling – performing various financial analyses, excel-based modeling, and deliverable preparation
  • Industry Research – gathering all level of information around a particular healthcare segment, new legislation, etc.
  • Client Deliverables – draft client presentations and complete valuation processes by drafting narrative reports in support of our valuation opinions
  • Project Management – ability to keep a running schedule of priorities as you manage the engagement process for multiple valuations at once
  • Communication – provide managers and clients with concise yet comprehensive communication whether verbal or written


  • A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting or Finance
  • Background or prior experience in financial theory, modeling and project management
  • Critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly in Excel
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need now, or in the future, for sponsorship


  • Analyst – Entry Level to 2 years’ experience
  • Senior Analyst – 2-5 years’ transferable experience in the healthcare space
  • Manager – 4-5 years’ transferable experience in the healthcare space, and experience managing a team
