IT Support Specialist

We’re excited to add an IT Support Specialist to our internal IT Team supporting offices in eight U.S. locations. This is an opportunity to grow quickly and advance your IT skillset. This position will join our IT modernization initiatives and provide you the opportunity to have an immediate and large impact on our IT services and systems in a friendly environment. Significant ability to advance based on your willingness to learn and train users in existing and new technologies.

What You’ll Do

Daily

  • Diagnose, research, and resolve end-user needs, and make improvement suggestions
  • Support office network, ISP, and Wi-Fi environments
  • Provide tier 1-2 support to end-users and help maintain the helpdesk ticketing portal
  • Explain policies and procedures to end-users
  • Work directly with VMG Health team members remotely, and onsite in the Dallas office
  • Document metric user data, processes, and procedures
  • Contribute to documentation of incidents, maintenance of equipment, and training manuals

Systems & Strategy

  • Understanding of Microsoft products (including Office365) and management of Active Directory Administration
  • Diagnose, research, and resolve routine end-user issues in a timely manner through established protocol and troubleshooting; escalate as necessary
  • Support onsite conference rooms and security systems
  • Assist in creation of new user accounts
  • Assist in the set-up of new equipment and devices
  • Support employee onboarding, set up new laptops and mobile devices
  • May review and evaluate new computer hardware and software products
  • Assist in the tracking of hardware and software inventory
  • Assist and interact with hardware and software vendors
  • Assist in Corporate IT projects

Vendors & Equipment

  • Interact directly with hardware and software vendors for support
  • Track hardware and software inventory, security, access control, provisioning, and licensing
  • Degree: Bachelor’s degree or associate’s degree in information technology or related field
  • Experience: Experience troubleshooting Microsoft-based environments, and exposure to networking tools/IDF closet environments
  • Certifications: A+, Network, Security, Microsoft certifications are a plus
  • Systems: Microsoft products including Office365/Active Directory
  • Onsite Full-Time: Currently, this role is a full-time onsite position, however, some flexibility is possible based on metrics and performance
