Cara Gambill is a Director within the Revenue Consulting Practice at VMG Health, where she applies deep expertise in health services management, strategic planning, and operational improvement. Her work is grounded in a strong analytical foundation and demonstrated ability to guide healthcare organizations through complex initiatives that advance performance, compliance, and long-term sustainability. 

Before joining VMG Health, Cara was a Senior Consultant at Burrows Consulting, developing extensive experience in supporting HRSA grant applications and began serving as an HRSA grant reviewer. Earlier, she built a diverse healthcare career beginning with the Indiana Department of Workforce Development, where she supported data collection for the Bureau of Labor Statistics and developed a strong data-driven perspective on workforce and healthcare trends. Her passion for rural health led her back to Dugger, Indiana, where she held multiple leadership roles at Greene County Health, Inc. During her tenure, Cara served as Project Manager, Interim CEO, and Director of Strategic Planning and Development. She played a key role in achieving Federally Qualified Health Center Look-Alike status, implementing a comprehensive 340B program, and securing more than $430,000 in grant funding to support organizational growth and sustainability. 

Cara completed the accelerated Health Services Management program at the Indiana University School of Medicine before earning her Master of Health Administration degree, graduating with Upsilon Phi Delta honors for academic excellence. She is a certified Lean Six Sigma professional and a HRSA grant reviewer, with experience authoring HRSA-approved needs assessments, leading FQHC Look-Alike Initial Designation applications and developing strategic plans that support healthcare organizations in achieving measurable success.
