What’s your biggest healthcare business challenge?
Daniel P. Stech is a Director for the Physician Services Agreements division at VMG Health. His professional consulting work spans from designing compliant physician compensation programs to developing strategies around physician engagement and leadership. His clients range from large integrated health systems and critical access hospitals to free-standing ambulatory surgery centers and independent physician practices. He has also advised leading academic medical centers and medical device companies on complex strategy and compliance matters.
Dan has an extensive background in the health industry and has held numerous leadership roles. Namely, Dan’s work helped establish the Medical Group Management Association as a leading data source on physician compensation and physician practice performance. From 2006 to 2018, Dan was a partner in a healthcare consulting firm where he was instrumental in expanding the company into a nationally recognized organization providing an array of service offerings. He also served as legislative director for a Member of Congress, handling all issues related to healthcare reform, the Medicare and Medicaid programs, and healthcare regulation.
Dan holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from Benedictine College in Atchison, KS, and a Master of Business Administration degree from Marymount University in Arlington, VA. He is a regular speaker for client boards and serves as faculty for industry organizations such as the American Health Law Association, Health Care Compliance Association, Healthcare Financial Management Association, and the Rural Health Leadership Forum of the American Hospital Association.
