With over 30 years of experience in the healthcare industry, Kay is committed to helping healthcare organizations navigate the complexities of today’s value-based care environment. She provides strategic guidance to clients, leveraging her deep understanding of the sector’s evolving needs.
Prior to joining VMG Health, Kay served as Principal at Carnahan Group, where she managed business valuation and strategic consulting teams. Her extensive background also includes her role as Vice President and Director of Development at IASIS Healthcare Corporation, a hospital management company, and as Director of Physician Development and Acquisitions at HCA Healthcare Corporation. Throughout her career, she has been instrumental in developing, analyzing, and valuing hundreds of physician practice acquisitions, joint ventures, and syndications. Kay’s earlier experience includes managing $40 million in NIH funding at the Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center and financial roles at Merrill Lynch and Legg Mason Wood Walker.
Kay holds an MBA in Corporate Finance from Vanderbilt University’s Owen Graduate School of Management and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. She is a Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) and an active member of the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts (NACVA).
