Sam Cooper, MBA, CVA—based in Philadelphia—is a Manager for the Valuation Advisory division at VMG Health. Sam brings expertise in strategic planning, mergers and acquisitions, physician compensation, and medical staff development to his role at VMG Health. He has supported clients with comparative analyses of potential partners, competitors, and service lines for hospitals and healthcare systems, physician practice assessments and fair market value opinions for physician compensation.
Prior to joining VMG Health, Sam was a Manager at Veralon. He also served as a patient assistance program advocate for the National Health Corps/AmeriCorps, where he collaborated with clinical leadership to implement a low-cost medication access program for an underserved community. He also has extensive experience in business development, operations, specialty valuation, client relationship management, contract development, marketing, communications, and logistics.
Sam is a Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) through the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts. He earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Healthcare Management from the Fox School of Business at Temple University and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Art History from Wesleyan University.
