Amy Brisson is a Managing Director at VMG Health within the Community Health Center & FQHC Optimization Practice. She specializes in organizational strategy, leadership development, and operational excellence for Federally Qualified Health Centers and community health organizations, bringing a financial background that shapes how she approaches every engagement. In this role, Amy partners with health center leaders on strategic planning, staff training, and building the internal capacity needed to sustain high performance over the long term.
Prior to joining VMG Health, Amy built more than 15 years of progressive financial and operational leadership experience, spending 12 years so far in the FQHC sector. She began her career as an Accounting Manager in the HOA management industry in Las Vegas before discovering her passion for community health. In 2014, she joined a Federally Qualified Health Center in Portland, Oregon as Director of Finance and was promoted to Chief Financial Officer within a year. Amy joined Community Link Consulting in 2018 as a remote consultant, providing fractional CFO services in accounting, budgeting, and operations to FQHCs across the country. She opened CLC’s Minnesota office in 2019, became a shareholder in 2020, and rose through executive leadership as Chief Operating Officer and, most recently, Chief Strategy Officer, where she drove strategic growth, service development, and organizational direction. Her tenure at CLC encompassed financial and operational management, human resources, executive coaching, FQHC compliance, and building the infrastructure that enabled both CLC and its clients to scale and succeed.
Amy earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Northern Illinois University in 2008, graduating with full honors. She is a graduate of the EOS Integrator Master Class at Rocket Fuel University and has completed Executive Leadership training through Cornell University. She is a recognized speaker in the FQHC community, presenting regularly for Primary Care Associations and at national and regional conferences. She develops and delivers customized training tailored to the specific priorities and context of each audience, bringing clarity to complex topics including financial leadership and CFO excellence, HRSA financial compliance and audit preparedness, strategic forecasting and scenario planning, and AI and data tools for finance leaders. Her sessions are designed for CFOs, finance teams, and health center executives who need their financial leadership operating at the highest level.
