Carolyn Commers is a Senior Manager at VMG Health within the FQHC & Community Health Practice. She specializes in financial, operational, and compliance advisory services for community health centers and Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs). Her areas of focus include 340B pharmacy operations, C-suite leadership and CFO support, Medicare and Medicaid cost reports, Medicaid rate setting and managed care reconciliation, financial performance metric dashboards, budgeting, Uniform Data System (UDS) reporting, grant management, and revenue cycle analysis—helping mission-driven health centers strengthen their financial sustainability, operational performance, and long-term regulatory compliance. 

Prior to joining VMG Health, Carolyn spent 10 years with Community Link Consulting, a firm delivering finance, accounting, operations, and compliance expertise to community health centers and FQHCs nationwide, which VMG Health acquired in 2026. Earlier in her career, she served as Director of Practice Management for a large hospital system in Spokane, Washington, and managed operations for 14 multi-specialty clinics, where she honed her skills in operational management, C-suite and CFO support, financial analysis, revenue cycle management, organizational improvement processes, strategic planning, budgeting, and regulatory compliance. Carolyn brings more than 25 years of healthcare experience to her clients. 

Carolyn earned bachelor’s degrees in business management, accounting, and psychology from the University of Montana and Capella University. She is an active member of American Mensa and has previously provided leadership for the Business Management Advisory Committee at Spokane Falls Community College and the Community Colleges of Spokane Worker Retraining Advisory Council. She is an accomplished corporate trainer and educational speaker who regularly leads training for both colleagues and clients. She has conducted dozens of CFO Bootcamp sessions for health center finance leaders, presented educational webinars on a range of FQHC topics, and served as a selected speaker at 10 state Primary Care Association events.
