Dan Grauman, based in New York, is a Managing Director for the Valuation Advisory division at VMG Health. He brings over 35 years of expertise in healthcare consulting, serving clients nationwide, including community and teaching hospitals, health systems, and clinically integrated networks. Before joining VMG Health, he served as CEO of Veralon, where he led the firm’s growth and strategic initiatives. His current focus includes mergers and affiliations, value-based payment strategies, and valuation, helping organizations navigate complex healthcare dynamics.  

Prior to his tenure at VMG Health and Veralon, Dan founded DGA Partners, a predecessor to Veralon, after serving as a principal at the Raleigh Group (later Value Health Sciences). He also directed the Chicago healthcare consulting practice and served as a Principal in Philadelphia for Laventhol & Horwath. His extensive experience includes strategic planning, consultative valuations, and developing risk contracts, ACOs, and other value-based arrangements. Dan has published widely in national healthcare publications and frequently speaks on clinical integration and healthcare affiliations. 

Dan holds an MBA and Sloan Certificate in Health Services Administration from Cornell University’s Johnson School of Management and a BA in Economics from Temple University. A licensed CPA in Pennsylvania with an ABV designation from the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Dan also serves on the Board of the Alumni Association for Cornell University’s Sloan Program and has held leadership roles in non-profit organizations.
