Johanna Heller is a Managing Director at VMG Health within the Community Health Center & FQHC Optimization Practice. She specializes in FQHC operations, financial management, and organizational leadership, supporting community health centers in building the operational and financial foundation needed to deliver high-quality care to underserved populations. Johanna is a solution-focused leader who excels at making complex challenges understandable and actionable. In this role, she partners with FQHCs and community health organizations across the country, advising on clinic operations, quality and financial goal-setting, team development, and navigating the complex regulatory and compliance environment unique to safety-net providers.

Prior to joining VMG Health, Johanna began her career at Community Link Consulting, where she spent four years supporting clients across a broad range of consulting services including month-end accounting, grant writing, compliance reporting, and financial dashboard development. She then served for eight years as a Clinic Administrator at CHAS Health, a large urban FQHC in Spokane, Washington, gaining firsthand experience leading clinic operations within a high-volume, mission-driven community health environment. Johanna returned to Community Link Consulting as Consulting Department Director, leading the consulting practice before being promoted to Chief Operating Officer in 2025. That combination of consulting expertise, in-house FQHC operational leadership, and executive management experience gives her a rare and comprehensive perspective on the challenges community health centers face at every level. She is also deeply engaged in her local community, having served on the board of Partners INW for eight years, including six years as Treasurer.

Johanna earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry with a minor in Business Administration from the University of Puget Sound and a Master of Business Administration in Healthcare Management from Gonzaga University. She is also a graduate of the Small Giants Leadership Academy, where she developed a leadership approach centered on purpose-driven growth, values-based decision-making, and building strong, people-focused organizational cultures.
