Published by Law360 An inspector general’s fraud alert on Tuesday warned referring physicians of fines and prison time that can result from accepting kickbacks disguised as medical directorships, the latest sign of rising interest in punishing individual doctors instead of just corporations for ripping off Medicare and Medicaid, experts say.
